I’ve been working on this project for the past 6 months and have added a wide range of features. It is now time to make it available as an open source for anyone who wants to try it, collaborate, or build something with it.
Qubit MCP is meant to be a platform for integrating AI models, macros, and custom workflows. I’ve been using it to combine open source tools with traditional 3D software and creating new workflows.
The vision is to design controlled, reliable workflows and systems, rather than letting an LLM do everything without detailed guidance, structure, or specifications.
Many of the tools I use, like Unreal Engine, Houdini, Maya, and Blender, were not built with agentic workflows in mind. They often require a lot of manual node connections and repetitive operations. Qubit MCP focuses on automating some of those workflows by making them faster to set up, more reliable, and easier to expand.
